The Leadership Season You Can't Afford to Skip

 If God Appointed You to This Season… Why Are You Trying to Escape It?

“He changes times and seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” — Daniel 2:21

There was a season in my banking career when I wanted out.

The pressure was high. The expectations were real.

And I kept asking God: “Is this where I’m supposed to be?”

I thought the answer was a new opportunity.

It wasn’t.

God wasn’t trying to move me— He was forming me.

Your Kingdom SPACE Has Purpose

What I didn’t understand then… I see clearly now:

I was in a Kingdom SPACE.

A divinely appointed environment where God does three things:

• Works in you

• Works with you

• Works through you

This is where heaven meets earth in your everyday leadership.

Nothing about your current space is random. It’s intentional. It’s strategic. It’s necessary.

Discern the Season—Don’t Resist It

“He changes times and seasons…”

Everything shifted when I stopped asking, “How do I get out?”

And started asking, “What is God doing right here?”

I had to discern the season I was in:

• Spring — Readiness

• Summer — Responsibility

• Fall — Reward

• Winter — Rest

Every season has a purpose. But you can’t benefit from what you keep resisting.

God Appoints—You Steward

“He removes kings and raises up kings…”

God gives the position.

But stewardship? That’s your responsibility.

Growth doesn’t come from escaping the space— It comes from managing it well.

Wisdom Must Be Cultivated

“He gives wisdom to the wise…”

Clarity didn’t come when I tried harder.

It came when I slowed down… listened… and pursued understanding.

Wisdom is not automatic. It’s cultivated.

Nothing Was Missing

Looking back, I can say this with confidence:

Everything I needed for that season was already within my reach.

Not outside of it. Not in the next opportunity.

Right where I was.

I just had to recognize it… and steward it well.

Final Thought

If God placed you in this Kingdom SPACE, there is something here that cannot be formed anywhere else.

Don’t rush it. Don’t resist it. Discern it.

Because when you do, you won’t just endure leadership—

You’ll step into it fully.
